LEGO Fans Go Wild over The Art of the Brick

The Art of the Brick - a new art show based in New York at Discovery Times Square - will captivate the imagination of the whole family with its intriguing works of art made exclusively from LEGO blocks.

The show is a great idea for a family attraction this summer because cause it combines pop art with high art, culture which kids are usually resistant to.

Kids will definitely find the famed artworks that artist Nathan Sawaya transformed more accessible in their LEGO form than in the original statues or canvasses.

Practical Info:

The Art of the Brick runs until January 5, 2014 and is open daily.  Tickets are available for $14.50 (child 4-12), $19.50 (adult) and $16.50 (senior = 65). Bring everyone you know and get special savings for groups of 10 or more, available with advanced reservation.

To avoid the lines for individual ticket purchases, buy online at www.DiscoveryTS.com/, call 866-987-9692 or visit the Discovery Times Square box office.  The exhibit hall is located at 226 West 44th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenues) right off Times Square.

Many thanks to Regan Bozman for his guest post, and to Michelle Narov for her photographs of Nathan Sawaya's art work.
