Chihuahua Races, Skydivers, and lots of Salsa make this year’s EuroFresh SalsaFest the hottest event in Southern Arizona. Celebrate the 4th Annual EuroFresh SalsaFest on Friday & Saturday September 24 & 25, in the City of Safford Town Square. The historic Town Square will be a celebration of everything salsa. The EuroFresh SalsaFest is a great place to enjoy a weekend of affordable family fun.
New to the SalsaFest this year is the SkyHawks Skydiving team. These amazing skydivers put on an entertaining show, thrilling their audience with their creativity, precision and will land right in the middle of town square to announce the winner of the SalsaFest Salsa Challenge! There is also a landing pad with chances to win some great prizes! Another new and exciting addition to this year’s SalsaFest is Chihuahua Races. Come out and enjoy watching 25 Chihuahuas race to the finish line to win the title of the fastest dog!
This year don’t miss your chance to win great give aways from our local Arizona attractions, including grand prize resort stays at Las Palomas beach and golf resort and Peñasco Del Sol hotel in Sandy Beach, Rocky Point, Mexico. Live music, Hot Air Balloon Salsa Glow, and the Taste of the Salsa Trail Tent will kick off the weekend festivities Friday night in the historic town square. Downtown Safford will be aglow with hot air balloons as the balloons line Main Street and light up the city. Then wake up early on Saturday morning to watch the balloon lift off and participate in the Salsa Walk.
SalsaFest activities include a salsa making contest, a Festival Marketplace, Salsa music and dancing, food demonstrations, live entertainment all day, chile roasting and Jalapeño and Salsa Eating Competitions. The public is invited to participate in the judging for the People’s Choice Awards in the Salsa Challenge Tent. Salsa Trail® restaurants will dish up samples of their special concoctions and Salsa Challenge contestants will compete for top honors and prizes.
