Summer is coming quickly, and that means it’s time to take advantage of the Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau’s popular “Sizzling Summer” package program, with a whole new menu of special rates, discounts and money-saving offers.
The new “Sizzling Summer Special,” which runs from June 13 through Sept. 9, offers room rates starting at $52.50 per person per night (midweek plus tax, based on double occupancy; a few exclusions apply). More than 20 of Traverse City’s best hotels, motels and resorts are participating in this offer, which includes a $10 casino coupon and dozens of other discounts on everything from dining, golf, movies and spa services to bicycle and kayak rentals, wine purchases, hot air balloon flights and tall ship sailings.
“This program offers some great values for visitors who choose Traverse City for their summer vacation,” said Bureau president Brad Van Dommelen. “We think this is just the kind of value-added packaging people are looking for this year.”
With its miles of sugar-sand beaches, crystal clear bays and lakes, championship golf courses and other outdoor recreation opportunities, the Traverse City area has long been a favorite Midwest summer destination. More recently, it has attracted national attention for its rich artistic and cultural offerings, unique shopping, fine dining and award-winning wine scene.
