Two Family Days have just been announced for "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs." On Sunday, May 9 and Sunday, June 13, special family-friendly programming will include Egyptian-themed face painting for children, a mummy wrapping activity, and family-friendly exhibition tours in the afternoons. A special King Tut memento will also be given out to children in attendance.
New York is the final stop on the National Geographic exhibition’s North American tour—and a once-in-a-generation opportunity to glimpse into the life of the Boy King before his treasures leave for their permanent home in Cairo. This is a phenomenal chance for parents who saw this exhibition as children in the 70’s to now bring their own kids to witness and be a part of this amazing experience.

Families can save on the price of admission with the purchase of a Family pack (2 adults, 2 children ages 4-12) priced at $83 Monday-Thursday / $93 weekends, which is a $17 to $21 savings off of regular admission prices. Children under 4 are free.
On view at the Discovery Times Square Exposition (DTSX) from April 23, 2010 until January 2, 2011, the exhibition will include 50 exquisite relics found in King Tut’s tomb, with 80 more from the tombs of family members and other royals of his day. In addition to the artifacts, which will give kids a sense of what daily life was like in Tut’s time, the exhibition features forensic information from Tut’s mummy which has helped shape the latest theories on how the Boy King lived and died. And families can extend their Egyptian experience at DTSX with the exciting 3D movie Egypt 3D: Secrets of the Mummies, which follows researchers as they try to solve the mysteries of a cache of Egyptian mummies by piecing together archeological and forensic clues.
Thousands have already pre-registered for tickets to experience the wonder and mystery of Tut’s tomb—I hope you will make sure your readers are aware of this incredible opportunity.
