Cold Water, Hot Sand, Urban Beach Opens in Copenhagen

A new, artificially created, 4,000-square-meter sand beach in Østerbro in Copenhagen, Denmark has opened for the summer season.

It already seems to be setting the standard for urban beach development projects.

In addition to Copenhagen's sandy beach and chilly, gentle surf, locals can enjoy a 130-meter-long pier that enables children and adults to admire the view without having to jump in!

Here's a fun video about it from the Copenhagen Tourist office, but since they used the Beach Boys as background music, we're not sure if you'll be able to view it from YouTube!

Enjoy -
