Caribbean Summer Specials Make Last Minute Vacations Real

Caribbean Summer Specials Make Last Minute Vacations Real As we race through summer, there are many good vacation offers still available in the Caribbean for families who want to squeeze in a tropical beach vacation before school starts. Here are some picks throughout the region, and a pretty thorough roundup from Family Travel Forum of other family summer vacation offers if none of these rings your bell.

ANGUILLA DEALS

The sun-kissed island of Anguilla is a place for families to experience an off-the-beaten-path Caribbean vacation with luxurious and affordable accommodations, outstanding cuisine and serene settings. In summer, it offers island-wide rates starting at 30% off. The island is best known for its 33 pristine powder-white sand beaches. Beyond the beach, kids of all ages can enjoy activities like swimming with dolphins, hiking Anguilla’s Katouche Valley, learning about the island’s rich history at the quaint Heritage Collection Museum and getting all-under one room at one of Anguilla’s many villas. Anguilla also has more than 100 restaurants, from fine dining, to roadside barbeques, to beachfront bistros to please appetites of any age.

At the Carimar Beach Club on beautiful Meads Bay, families will find big apartment-style suites that are now on sale, with an offer of seven nights stays for the price of five. This is good until November 15, 2013, with weekly rates for a one-bedroom suite starting at $1,409. Golfers may prefer Paradise Cove, is an all-suite resort bordered by three holes of the island’s Greg Norman 18-hole golf course and just a 10-minute walk to the turquoise waters of Cove Bay Beach. A studio suite by the week comes out to $200/night until October 3, 2013. Other special summer packages include accommodations, a rental car, a starter breakfast basket plus all applicable service charges.
